Emily Aiken’s research interests lie in the intersection of machine learning and development economics, focusing on analyzing large digital traces to inform the design of social protection policy. Her work has been published in various prestigious venues including Nature and Science Advances. Emily earned her Ph.D. from the UC Berkeley School of Information, an M.S. in computer science from UC Berkeley, and a B.A. in computer science from Harvard University.
