Speaker: George Smith-Lomas, International Engineering Lead at ARC Power
Abstract: This is a continuation of the mini-grid development lecture series. In this lecture, the speaker will cover mini-grid technology i.e., How a mini-grid works, affordability, design concepts, and actual energy transition from an engineering perspective
Bio: As international engineering lead, Smith-Lomas is responsible for undertaking and overseeing the design and installation of all aspects of ARC power generation and distribution infrastructure. He also leads a research and development team focused on innovations in energy usage and storage, grid efficiency, and remote grid management. He has a master's degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on engineering design.
