On behalf of the Afretec Network, the University of Rwanda and Carnegie Mellon University Africa will be co-hosting a Gender in STEM forum. The half-day session is the culmination of a 2-day workshop by network partners with the theme "Advancing Gender and Leadership in Higher Education." The forum is a prelude to International Women's Day 2024 whose theme, "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress," is especially pertinent. The forum is especially targeted at academia and professionals in the STEM field. Among the expected guests are the Afretec partner universities, faculty from universities in the region, and women's organizations like RAWISE AND NACOSTE.
