Join us as we celebrate the finalists of our Digital ID Hackathon, a groundbreaking competition that brings together developers, designers, and tech enthusiasts from across Eastern Africa. This hackathon is the first phase of a larger initiative for all regions of Africa aimed at exploring innovative use cases of digital ID systems. We will announce the winners during the ceremony and recognize their outstanding contributions.
Time: 11:30 AM - 1:00 p.m. CAT
Following the ceremony, we will have poster and demo presentations where students and the lab will showcase the incredible projects they have worked on over the summer. This is a unique opportunity to see the impactful work at our Upanzi Network Lab and CMU-Africa.
Following the showcase, we will have a lunch reception, which will provide a chance to network and discuss the projects and ideas presented. Additionally, in the afternoon, we will be holding a closed-door mid-program review session for the Upanzi project to evaluate our progress, achievements, and next steps.
