Techniques to make direct instruction more engaging.
It is a common aphorism that we tend to teach as we were taught. Most ofus experienced lectures as the primary mode of instruction when we werestudents. That makes it the automatic fallback method for conveying content toour learners. This seminar will look at when lectures are themost appropriate teaching method and explore ways you can ensure that studentsare engaged during a lecture and are understanding the material.
