Student research opportunities

Digital divide in rural African communities is still a key factor hindering communication due to limited resources. This paper proposed a solution utilizing an Opportunistic Delay-Tolerant Network (ODTN) that leverages transportation systems, with Rwanda as a case study. The solution integrates Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) with wireless technologies including Wi-Fi, Global Systems for Mobile communication/Global Positioning Systems (GSM/GPS), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and Long Range (LoRa) communication system.
