The workshop will bring together stakeholders from academia, government, business, and non-governmental organizations to solicit their knowledge, insight, and advice. This will help shape an agenda for applied research, development and deployment of various new technologies and practices. In addition, this workshop will suggest standards and policies for social and commercial advancement. The larger outcomes for Africa that are being targeted are improved safety, reduced pollution, better quality of life, and increased economic activity.
